Karen Gedig Burnett writes books to help children learn to handle the bumps in life. Simon's Hook helps children learn to handle teases. Katie's Rose explains that everyone blooms at that their own rate. Karen was an elementary school counselor for over twenty years. During this time she created many programs to help children develop healthy outlooks on life. Her specialty is taking a complex idea and presenting it in simplistic and graphic manner. Karen holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling from California State, San Bernardino, and in Educational Psychology from Indiana University. Originally from Indiana, she now resides in California with her husband and two sons.
