Simon's Hook is fun to look through.
Sometimes items in the people pages also show up in the fish pages.   Here is a list of things we thought you might want to notice.  
Instructions: Print this page and the next time you read Simon's Hook see if you can find these.

1. Can you find the mouse in every page. Sometimes there are even two mice.

2. Simon’s Getting his hair cut, did you notice:
     a. the fish in the fish bowl
     b. the poster is for Eelvis and the Beach Buoys
     c. there is a necklace with peace sign (this shows up later)
     d. Simon's hair on the mouses head

3. Simon’s on his way out the door, can you find:      a. the spider
     b. the snail

4. When Simon runs into Grandma Rose did you notice:
     a. Grandma Rose's cat
     b. the red caterpillar
     c. the bee that we forgot to color in (Oops)

5. When Simon shows Grandma Rose his hair can you find:
     a. the red caterpillar

6. When Grandma Rose gets her fishing pole can you find:
     a. the ants crawling
     b. the spider
     c. the recycle barrel
     d. the red caterpillar
     e. the blue bird pulling the worm

7. When Grandma Rose tells Simon why she got her fishing pole can you find:
     a. the ants carrying the barrel away
     b. the spider

8. When Grandma Rose cast out the hook that says, 'Lawn Mower Head!'
     a. the cat playing with the ants
     b. the red caterpillar looking at the flower
     c. a butterfly

9. When Grandma Rose and Simon are sitting on the patio did you notice:
     a. the mouse eating a cookie
     b. Grandma Rose's cat licking up lemonade

Fish Pages

1. On the first two fish pages where the fish bite did you notice:
     a. where is the mouse
     b. the Grandma Rose fish
     c. the Simon fish
     d. Grandma Rose's cat fish
     e. the peace necklace on the hippy fish
     f. the card game. What game are they playing?

2. Did you notice the spots on the Ms. Spotta Polka Dotta - they always change

3. Did you notice the children who are fishing are the same children that teased Simon.

4. Did you notice the hook that says, 'Ha! I've got you!' to which the fish replies,'No you don't.', when it's obvious that the fish is biting the hook.

5. Did you notice the fish saying 'Let me go!' when who really needs to let go?

6. On the fish study how not to bite pages did you notice:
     a. the mouse is now a fish too
     b. the 'star' star fish
     c. the weight lifting crab
     d. Ms. Spotta Polka Dotta's ever changing spots
     e. the life saver ring from 'The Good Ship Lollipop'
     f. the shy eel

7. On the Do Little or Nothing pages, did you notice:
     a. there are two mice on this set of pages
     b. the patch on the octopuses eye
     c. Davey Jones' Locker (this is an old phrase that stands for the 'bottom of the sea.' When sailors or pirates were mad at someone they might say, 'I'll send you to Davey Jones locker.'
     d. the checkers are not on the right spaces
     e. the crab climbing out of the tin can
     f. the eel is still hiding

8. On the Agree With The Hook pages, did you notice:
     a. the crab hiding behind the bottle
     b. the two snails in love
     c. the 'Cave Sweet Cave' sign for the ell
     d. the 'No Parking' sign for the two octopus
     e. the octopus's flat tire
     f. the Pinafore - from the H.M.S. Pinafore, which is a musicalby Gilbert and Sullivan

9. On the Distracting the Fisherman pages, did you notice:
     a. two cat fish
     b. the juggling octopus and crab
     c. the dog fish next to the fire hydrant
     d. the 'Ocean Realty' sign and the 'Mobile Homes' sign next to
     e. the snails (because snails carry their mobile homes)
     f. the barnacle looking in the toilet
     g. the bow tie on the star fish
     h. where is the mouse?

10. On the Laugh or Making a Joke pages, did you notice:
     a. the two mice fish
     b. the barnacle in love with - well we're not sure what it's in love with
     c. the octopus and crab building a sand castle (like at the park)

11. On the Stay Away pages, did you notice:
     a. two mice fish
     b. the tea party
     c. the basketball and basketball net (like at the park)
     d. the recycling barrel (like at Grandma Rose's)
     e. the Daily News
     f. the star fish is holding a blue plate special
     g. the name of the book Ms. Spotta Polka Dotta is reading is Moby Dick

12. On the Graduation page, did you notice:
     a. the diploma's that Simon Fish, Cat Fish, and Max the Mouse Fish have
     b. the children from the park again
     c. the 'No Fish from Dock' sign
     d. the little blue fish that threw a hook

People Pages Again

1. When Simon and Grandma Rose are sitting on the patio did you notice:
     a. the lemonade and cookies are gone
     b. what's under Simon, Grandma Rose and the Cat? Why is it there?
     c. the mouse in the lemonade pitcher

2. When Simon goes back to the playground did you notice:
     a. the basketball and basketball net
     b. and the sand castle

3. When the kids pat Simon on the head did you notice:
     a. the mouse doing a hand stand

4. When Simon celebrates did you notice:
     a. the beginning of a party
