Synopsis

• How your choices ADD UP determines your life.

• Decisions can be difficult when: they are new experiences, you feel bombarded, you feel a time pressure, you feel internal conflict, you feel pressure from others…

• There are three different parts of your brain: the Primitive Survival Brain, the Intermediate Emotional Brain, and the Rational Thinking Brain. Each part handles different functions.

• It is hard to think clearly when you feel STRESSED.

But wait, the same Thinking Brain that helps you solve problems can also create problems.
What is the only animal that worries about paperwork, or a grade, or getting to work on time, or bills, or getting a raise?
What is the only animal that worries if someone’s talking about them, or doesn’t like them, or whether they are loved or wanted?
What is the only animal that worries about their health, their wealth, their bathroom habits, or even their death?
HUMANS!

We need our Thinking Brain to help us analyze and develop new and useful solutions to our problems, thus reducing stress.

But at the same time, our Thinking Brain can create worries and problems that increase our stress.
